Baskets of Hope is one of our most cherished joint activities with First United Methodist Church of Cary as we help provide not only hope but also love, friendship, compassion and doing God’s work in helping thy neighbor.
We would like to thank the many volunteers who coordinate, donate, put together and help distribute the Easter Baskets every year. Your efforts are so appreciated. Each year the Church has upped the number of Baskets allotted to us, so our impact has been greater each year.
The colorful baskets have been given to children in some of the bleakest and toughest neighborhoods in the Triangle. They represent the heart of the Church and in today’s society, that is what is needed so desperately.
What is so special about Baskets of Hope is that so many people from all walks are brought together to serve and give. The recipients are seeing action from Church members and not just offering thoughts and kind words. While being kind is definitely important, seeing God’s Will being done through action is far more impactful.
