Food Trucks & Local Families in Need

Bridge the Gap Mission & Carolina Cares, a local 501c-3 nonprofit are working diligently with local food truck chefs and local restaurants to get some food out to families in need.

With curbside pickup and delivery being offered, they are wanting to prepare families with foods for all meals and frozen meals for the weeks to come while providing healthy foods as much as possible. Food Truckers for Kids is a new group on Facebook they have set up to share information about where they will be, an application to sign up families in need, donation requests and volunteer options.

Food Trucks are being sent out to neighborhoods in low poverty to serve hot meals and drop groceries.

Today, you can find:

  • Oink & Moo Truck at 2321 Crabtree Blvd.
  • The Smoke N Jerk Truck will be at Peach Rd. Community Center at 911 Ileagnes rd. Raleigh from 1pm-2pm and then traveling Orchard Point at 2021 Orchard Hollow Ln. Raleigh 3pm-4pm.

They are needing daily donations to continue their efforts to provide emergency food and health kit bags to our community members. You can drop off donations at their resource center Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm.
